Inscription: 秋岭晨雾。 宋人画谓为中国古代山水画之巨峰，大家辈出，构图繁复，变幻无穷，与人以身处仙境之乐。笔精墨妙，令人仰慕以画绘事及意境。元明文人画融入诗文书法，如别有洞天。然笔墨仍未所求。近日试笔墨放纵，偶有不求而至之奇趣。葛鸣记。

Translation: Titled - “Autumn Ridge Morning Mist”, Song dynasty paintings are regarded as the towering peaks of ancient Chinese landscape painting. Masters emerged in great numbers, their compositions intricate and endlessly varied, evoking the joy of being transported into a fairyland. The brushwork is refined and the ink marvelous, inspiring deep admiration for both the painting technique and its artistic conception. Yuan and Ming literati paintings further incorporated poetry, prose, and calligraphy, opening up another realm altogether. Yet even so, the brush and ink stills remains vital for grasp. Lately, I have experimented with bold and unrestrained brush and ink studies, and occasionally encountered unexpected, delightful effect that wasn’t initially sought. Recorded by Ge Ming.
