Water is everywhere in this painting — rushing, cascading, pooling, and pressing forward with the accumulated force of a landscape that has just received more rain than it can hold. Two waterfalls descend from above while streams converge and race across the foreground rocks, the whole composition caught in a moment of joyful, ungovernable motion.

Against this torrent, the trees hold their ground with quiet authority. A broad pine spreads its canopy at the center, flanked by a blazing red maple, a luminous yellow ginkgo, and a soft wash of pink — four distinct voices in a single chord, each rendered in its own brushwork: the pine in dense, confident layered strokes, the autumn foliage in loose, expressive clusters that pulse with color, dark cliffs and a thundering waterfall above handled in bold, wet strokes while mist softens everything behind them into suggestion.

山高云雨远

水，无处不在——奔涌、飞泻、汇聚、向前，带着一片刚刚承受了过多雨水的山川所积蓄的全部力量。两道瀑布从上方倾泻而下，溪流在前景山石间汇聚争流，整幅构图定格于一种欢腾而难以驾驭的动势之中。

面对这奔涌的水势，树木以沉静的气度各守其位。一株阔冠松树居中展开，左右伴以烈焰般的红枫、明亮的黄色银杏与淡粉色树影——四种各异的声部，合成一个和弦，各以其笔法写就：松树以浓密自信的层叠笔触，秋叶以松动富于表现力的笔簇点出，色彩跃动，上方暗色崖壁与轰鸣瀑布以粗犷湿润的笔墨写就，而其身后的一切则在云雾中柔化为朦胧的意象。
