Some paintings carry the weight of a conversation across centuries. The inscription borrows a poem by Wen Zhengming — a celebrated Ming dynasty master — and closes with a humble question: how much of Yunlin and Jianjiang's essence have I captured? These were two of the most revered landscape painters in Chinese history, known for their spare, austere compositions and deeply restrained use of ink. To invoke their names is to set an intentionally high bar.

The answer is present in every stroke. Towering cliffs rise with quiet authority, their faces rendered in long, deliberate cun strokes that follow the grain of the rock with precision. A waterfall drops through the center in pale, unhurried washes. Pine trees and bare winter branches are built from careful, considered marks. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is wasted.

千峰飞瀑

有些画作，承载着跨越数百年的对话。题识援引文徵明诗句，末以自问作结：不知得几分云林渐江意耶？云林、渐江，皆为中国画史上最负盛名的山水大家，以疏简克制、用墨极度收敛著称。借其名以自期，是为有意立下高标。

答案尽在笔墨之间。峭壁以沉静的气势巍然耸立，石面以绵长审慎的皴法写就，顺石理而行，精准沉稳。瀑布以淡墨从画面中部徐徐垂落。松木与冬日枯枝，笔笔考量，一丝不苟。无一笔仓促，无一笔多余。
