Inscription：飞流直下云烟起。二零二一年三月参用元黄鹤山樵（王蒙，1308—1385）法于南加尔湾寓所。未知能得几分厚润苍茫之意。-- Title: Flying Waterfalls Rush Downward—Mists and Clouds Ascend.  In March 2021, I incorporated the methods of the Yuan-dynasty master Huanghe Shanqiao (Wang Meng) to paint this at my residence in Irvine, Southern California. I wonder how much of his rich depth and  dimensional vastness that I have managed to capture.

Wang Meng was famous for compositions of overwhelming density and dimensional depth — mountains layered upon mountains, every inch alive with texture. This work, openly questioning how much of that mastery it has captured, takes up the challenge with real conviction.

A waterfall splits the composition in two unbroken white columns, dropping past dramatic cliff overhangs before vanishing into mist below. The mountain above is built from dense, overlapping cun strokes that give the rock its weight and rugged texture, while the foreground forest presses forward in layered, vivid greens.

The brushwork carries genuine density throughout — nothing left empty, every surface considered. Rich and full, as Wang Meng intended it.

王蒙以构图繁密、层次幽深著称——群山叠嶂，寸寸皆见肌理。此作自问能得几分其妙，而落笔之间，已见诚意。

瀑布将画面分作两道不断的白练，飞越险峻的悬崖，没入下方云雾。山体以密集叠加的皴法写就，赋予岩石厚重粗砺之质感，前景林木则以层层叠叠的浓绿向前推涌。

笔墨贯穿全幅，浓厚饱满，无一处空疏——厚润苍茫，正得其意。
